I actually got on a stage and sang a couple of karaoke songs.  To call what I have a "singing voice" is wrong - just plain wrong.  I can almost hit the notes over half the vocal range I used to have.  I can hear when the note is off and correct it, which is a recent occurrence.I have to pick songs carefully.  My singing voice is incredibly raspy.  Joe Cocker-like raspy. I'm able to work with some pain meds.  I'm taking 2 Lyrica and 2 Tylenol 4's a day now. It was about one year ago that my liver quit, I got pulled off of all my pain meds, my throat hurt so bad that I couldn't eat at all,  and I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks.It wasn't as bad this year. I got carb-starved for 24 hours.  No carbs, just proteins and vegetables to eat.  Drink lots of fluids. Drive the blood sugar down.  Then they gave me a radioactive sugar solution through an IV.
